Roy E. Strowd III, MD, MEd, MS, FAAN

Roy E. Strowd III, MD, MEd, MS, FAAN

Dr. Roy Strowd is a neurologist, neuro-oncologist, clinical trialist, and educator passionate about developing the next generation of healthcare leaders. He is the Interim Vice Dean for Medical Education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He also serves as the editor for Neurology: Education and was the previous associate editor for the Resident & Fellow Section of Neurology.

Zachary London, MD

Zachary London, MD

Dr. Zach London is a Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School and a recognized gifted educator. He has received numerous teaching awards including the AAN's 2023 A.B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurologic Education. Dr. London's scholarly focus is the development of interactive educational tools. He designed and published several board games or card games to teach neuroanatomy, clinical neurology, and the history of medicine, including The Lesion: Charcot's Tournament, The Plexus, Cranial Vault, Foramina, and Endowed Chairs with our own Ali Christy. His work was fundamental in developing two mobile applications to teach the tenets of neuroanatomic localization, Nerve Whiz and Neuro Localizer. He also created EMG Whiz, a popular web-based EMG training simulator.

Sara Schaefer, MD

Sara Schaefer, MD

Dr. Sara Schaefer is an alumna of the Yale Neurology Residency Program and Movement Disorders Fellowship Program and has continued at Yale as the Movement Disorders Fellowship Director and Neurology Associate Program Director. She is interested in medical education and completed a Masters of Health Sciences focusing on medical education in 2019. She has a passion for asynchronous learning resources in the form of modules, podcasts, and more and has launched multiple such projects in movement disorders and neurology.
