    Ayman Alboudi, MD (he/him)

    Dr. Ayman Alboudi, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Clinical, with the Epilepsy Division. He is a board-certified neurologist with a richly diverse medical background spanning Syria, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Dr. Alboudi earned his medical degree from Tishreen University and completed his neurology residency and chief residency at Al Mouassat and Al Assad University Hospitals in Damascus. He holds the Syrian Board in Neurology and has further distinguished himself by earning the UK Neurology Specialty Certificate and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (London).

    Dr. Alboudi completed his U.S. neurology residency training at Staten Island University Hospital/Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident and actively participated in the institution's Medical Education Track. He went on to complete a fellowship in epilepsy at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and joined the department as a faculty member on July 1, 2025. His research interests include epilepsy, autoimmune and neurovascular disorders, and clinical education.

    Kelsey Christoffel, MD (she/her)

    Dr. Kelsey Christoffel is a Fetal-Neonatal Neurologist at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2016 and completed her Child Neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2021. She moved to DC for her fellowship in Fetal-Neonatal Neurology and Neonatal Neurocritical Care. Now, as an Associate Program Director for the fellowship program, she is passionate about the developing brain and loves to share that passion with learners. By joining the NDEC Institute, she is hoping to learn new, more engaging ways to teach and connect using digital media.

    Elliot T. Dawson, MD (he/him)

    Dr. Elliot T. Dawson serves as Chair of the Department of Neurology at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center and practices clinically as a Neurohospitalist. He completed his residency in Adult Neurology and fellowship in Vascular Neurology at Mayo Clinic, Minnesota. He currently serves as a member of the American Academy of Neurology Advocacy Committee. Dr. Dawson grew up outside Chicago and currently lives in the suburbs of Baltimore with his wife and two sons. He enjoys athletics, gardening, and improving his chess game.

    Braydon Dymm, MD (he/him)

    Dr. Braydon Dymm is a vascular and stroke neurologist who alternates between caring for patients at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in Charleston, West Virginia, where he serves as Co-Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center, and providing remote telestroke consultations as clinical faculty within Duke University’s Department of Neurology. His academic focus is on artificial intelligence and other digital tools into stroke education, quality-improvement projects, and real-time bedside decision-making. 

    A committed clinician-educator, Dr. Dymm has published peer-reviewed work on subjects ranging from how medical students make career decisions to the prevalence of post-stroke depression, and he helps guide graduate medical education within CAMC’s neurology residency. Beyond the hospital, he co-designed Circle of Willis, a cooperative board game that transforms cerebrovascular anatomy into an engaging team challenge for learners of all levels.

    Tiffani Franada, MD (she/her)

    Dr. Tiffani Franada is a board-certified neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, where she is also the adult neurology residency program director. She is enthusiastic about education, particularly simulation-based opportunities and has advanced the simulation curriculum for the residency program throughout her time as program director. In her clinician educator role, she is the director for the annual MS educational symposium for patients and providers and developed a 2.5-day educational symposium for general neurology in 2024 to celebrate 25 years of neurology residency at UICOMP. Her research interests include treatment options for progressive multiple sclerosis, dietary interventions for the disease and the effects of cognition in patients living with MS. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new food, reading and yoga.

    Brian Hanrahan (he/him)

    Dr. Hanrahan is a triple board-certified physician (Neurology, Epilepsy, Clinical Neurophysiology) based in Eastern Pennsylvania. He is also the Neurology Associate Program Director and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Director of St. Luke's University Health Network. He has had a passion for Neurology Education since during Residency, which was recognized by his awards for Best Medical Student Educator Award and Best Educator Fellow Awards during his training. Thereafter, he was recognized by the American Academy of Neurology with the A.B. Baker Teaching Award. For 5 years, he was a key member of the American Academy of Neurology's Boardprep Course. However, many are most familiar with his role as Co-creator of NowyouknowNeuro, a resourse for the ABPN Neurology Board Examination.

    Shridhar P Joshi, MD (He/Him)

    Dr. Shridhar Joshi is a consultant paediatric neurologist practicing in Vadodara,Gujarat, India.  Dr.Shridhar received his general paediatrics training from Lady Hardinge medical College and associated Kalawati Saran Children Hospital, New delhi and super specialisation (D.M) in Paediatric Neurology from Prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has always strived to be a better learner throughout his medical journey and has used social media like youtube and X/twitter for enhancing his academic knowledge. He strives to serve humble learners across digital media through NDEC initiative.

    Arpita Lakhotia, MD (she/her)

    Dr. Lakhotia is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Louisville and Child Neurologist with Norton Children's Medical Group. She is Director of Pediatric Stroke and co-Director Pediatric Neuromuscular Clinic at her program. She serves on the editorial board of Pediatric Neurology as Media Editor.

    Dr. Lavanya Nagineni is a board certified neurology/neuromuscular specialist from UT Southwestern medical center. She serves as Headache/Ambulatory clinic director and core faculty at HCA Tristar Skyline medical center Neurology program in Nashville, TN, and is an Assistant professor at Belmont university.

    With over a decade of private practice experience in Fort Worth, TX, Dr. Nagineni held leadership roles in stroke, rehab and sleep programs and contributed to aadvisory panels for pfizer and Biohaven. Her clinical interests include neuromuscular disorders, headaches, and medical education.

    Janaki G. Patel, MD (she/her)

    Dr. Janaki G. Patel is Assistant Professor of Neurology and Co-Director of the Detroit Medical Center Comprehensive Stroke Program. She received her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh and completed her medical education in New Jersey at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Patel completed her neurology residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed vascular neurology training at University of Michigan under the direction of Dawn Kleindorfer, MD and Devin Brown, MD, before returning to Wayne State. She has a research focus on stroke epidemiology and racial disparities; and a focus in the use of interactive education models in teaching Neurology and Emergency Medicine physician trainees.

    Pavan Patel, MD (he/him)

    Dr. Pavan Patel is a board-certified neurologist specializing in headache and concussion management. After earning his medical degree from Rowan SOM, he completed his neurology residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, followed by a specialized sports neurotrauma fellowship at the University of Florida. With three years of experience, Dr. Patel currently practices at St. Luke's University Health Network in eastern PA, where he also dedicates time to educating the next generation of neurologists within the residency program. Passionate about medical education, he is excited to share his expertise in the digital space.

    Philip Ross, DO

    Dr. Philip Ross is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Division of Neurotrauma and Critical care  and Neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also is actively involved in work with the spinal cord injury clinic and holds a staff position at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. He is passionate raising and up training medical students/residents in areas of neurotrauma, stroke, critical care, and spinal cord injury. He seeks to enhance techniques used in training in the ICU as well as at bedside in clinical as well as formal education environments. He believes that in the vast array of medical education resourcesand landscape of digital tools used in the clinical setting of neurology, the utilization of social media strategies and digital education can help expeditionally increase a trainees learning and performance during residency as well as clinical career.  He is passionate about giving back to trainees by enhancing their educational and professional opportunities.

    Azara Singh, MBBS (she/her)

    Dr. Azara Singh is an assistant professor in the division of pediatric neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She went to medical school at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India and completed her pediatric neurology residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI. She serves as the associate editor of the image report section at the Journal of Child Neurology, and is the director of the Journal’s residents and fellows board; she also serves as a member of the editorial board of AAP PREP. Her professional interests include pediatric-to-adult healthcare transitions, pediatric neuro-palliative care, and professional fulfillment for medical professionals. Her other interests include fiber arts, illustration, pottery, and writing.

    Jelena Stanarčević, MD, MSc (she/her)

    Dr. Jelena Stanarčević is a senior consultant neurologist at the Special Hospital for Cerebrovascular Diseases “Sveti Sava” in Belgrade, Serbia. Originally from Belgrade, she earned her medical degree and neurology specialization at the University of Belgrade, and is currently completing a subspecialization in vascular medicine while pursuing a PhD in stroke epidemiology. Passionate about stroke care, cognitive health, and digital communication, she is dedicated to making neurology more accessible and meaningful through education and clinical advocacy.
