Kathryn Xixis, MD
Kathryn Idol Xixis is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Virginia. In her current role, Dr. Xixis is a clinician-educator. Clinically, she is the co-founder of the Comprehensive Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Clinic. Educationally, she serves as the UVA Child Neurology Residency Program Director. She is also an active member of the Educator Development Committee of the UVA Academy of Excellence in Education, the co-chair of the Programming and Events Committee of the UVA Committee on Women in Medicine and Science, a member of the Child Neurology Society (CNS) Electronic Communications Committee, an inaugural member of the Digital Committee of the Professors and Educators of Child Neurology (PECN), and sits on the PECN Board of Directors. Dr. Xixis it the host of the CNS Podcast, Brainstorm – High Yield Facts for Physicians Short on Time. Dr. Xixis is involved in the Brody I Am First Program at her medical school, mentoring first generation medical students.
