#secretmission

The NDEC's “secret mission” is to find and spread the ideas we teach, including the use of technology in education and professional development and in building your network and brand. By posting when we see people using technology this way, we help to achieve our secret mission.

Here is your mission:

  • Anytime you see someone creatively using digital tools, you are building your network. You see someone talking about digital scholarship? Post about it on social media with the hashtag #secretmission.

  • You can use ANY platform, but include the hashtag so we can find your post

  • The person with the most posts at the end of the meeting will win the belt!

Why is #secretmission important?

Our mission is to build a network of individuals who are passionate about advancing neurology education into the modern era.  To achieve this, we need to collaborate to leverage digital tools and technology as neurologists effectively.

  • We need promotion and tenure committees to recognize the importance of digital scholarship.

  • We aim to encourage individuals to establish broad, diverse, and impactful networks and learn how to utilize social media as a platform to provide open access to high-quality, evidence-based neurology education.

  • We want to engage neurologists in advocacy, patient education, and multiplying their impact.

We invite you to join our #secretmission!

  • By using the hashtag (#secretmission) during the meeting and after the session and conference, to engage with us and the NDEC community to share how you are moving our mission forward to achieve our vision of empowering neurologists to be education leaders.

Look for our logo on presentations and materials to see who is spreading the mission & stay tuned for more secret missions.

At the Child Neurology Society Annual Meeting 2024, we promoted our first #secretmission by auctioning the Glial Gladiator Championship Belt to the attendee that helped spread our mission the most.

Dr. Scott Perry was our lucky winner!
