PocketMedEd

Jessica Goldstein and her team created an app called PocketMedEd, a medical education research (MER) network that studies effective, evidence-based educational methods for incorporating technology-enhanced learning (TEL) in medical education.  The network grew from collaboration on a customizable interactive medical education app established in 2019, currently offering two programs targeting non-neurologists, students, residents, and fellow learners. The app provides educators with the infrastructure to expand curriculum development and research inquiry features.  Pilot data demonstrate that the current curricula are well received, easily incorporated into rotation experiences, and impact self-reported clinical practices.
